Projects

Four things, built properly.

Everything the studio is working on, with honest status attached. Nothing here is a mockup — and nothing here claims to be finished before it is.

Happklaar

In build

A meal-planning app for busy households — weekly schedules that fit the life you actually have.

You plan the week; Happklaar suggests what to cook based on how many people are eating, how much you feel like cooking ahead, and whether the leftovers go in the fridge or the freezer. The promise is narrow and worth keeping: a household never has to think about “what’s for dinner” again, because the plan is already there — and it rebuilds itself when the week doesn’t go to plan.

It ships as a Laravel application serving a Vue 3 single-page app on web.happklaar.nl, with iOS and Android packaged from that same build via Capacitor. The Netherlands is the primary market, so it speaks Dutch and English from day one.

OpinionsBox

Spec complete · in build

A civic platform, played as a game: how well do parties actually represent the people who believe in them?

You join the base of the party you genuinely align with. When a real motion is coming up, you cast a blind vote — your honest position, before the chamber decides, so it can’t be primed by the party line or the outcome. Aggregated, a base’s votes form a Shadow Chamber: what the legislature would look like if it voted its citizens’ values. The product is the Gap between that and reality, motion by motion.

It mirrors the Dutch Tweede Kamer and the European Parliament in parallel, ingested from official open data and never altered by the game. One constraint sits above the others: the only lever the engine may pull is fact — never framing, rhetoric, or persuasion. Every feature is checked against a single question, does it surface truth, or does it push?

Lemonfiber

Spec complete · pre-implementation

One binary that sets up your media stack, runs it in slices, and proves it's working.

Lemonfiber orchestrates a fully open-source media stack — the *arr ecosystem, Jellyfin, Seerr — and takes on the parts that are usually manual: guided setup, wiring the services to each other, and verifying that things work rather than assuming they do. Is the VPN actually isolating traffic? Are imports really hardlinking? Those are answerable questions, so the tool answers them.

Three surfaces sit over one core: lemonfiber up tv to script it, lemonfiber for a terminal dashboard, lemonfiber ui for a local web page. The load-bearing rule is that the core cannot render — no terminal, no HTTP server, no UI dependency of any kind. A surface is a rendering, never a capability, and that’s enforced by the crate graph rather than by code review.

The specification is complete and public; the implementation hasn't started yet. Said plainly rather than dressed up.

beatrax

v1.x · shipping

A local-first personal finance dashboard for the unified picture of your cross-account money.

beatrax pulls transactions from your bank, credit cards, PayPal and app-store subscriptions into a single calm “this month at a glance” view. It reads the statement formats European banks already export — CAMT.053, MT940, CSV — so it isn’t tied to any one institution. Then it resolves the routing chains between your accounts (PayPal to your bank or card, card to bank via bulk SEPA settlement) so fixed monthly payments, real funding sources and upcoming cash flow are visible in one place instead of buried across statements.

It runs entirely on your own machine. No telemetry, no cloud sync, no remote account — the SQLite database, the OAuth tokens and the cached email receipts all live on your disk and never leave it unless you export them yourself.
